I have personally seen this in my own life. In particular, when it comes to making major decisions. When I was overweight, (over 300 lbs and sedentary), I used to struggle with decisions, worry and fret and literally punish my body. Now, I can relax, (Chill), because my body is getting the blood flow, and the brain is firing it's synapses correctly due to regular exercise. The joy I receive is seeing this same scenario play out with my clients.
Other studies have shown that regular exercise can head off mild, even severe depression. So, the mood or attitude can improve through exercise, therefore, the brain can benefit from a healthy release of hormones and blood flow, which, in turn, promotes better brain health.
It all makes sense doesn't it? However, it is important to be properly coached from a sedentary lifestyle into an active lifestyle. I can take the time with you to help you develop your body to take on that new activity you have always dreamed of starting...Or, restarting.
